So tomorrow I have a consultation with a solar company. There's an oak tree that shades a good bit of the roof and they asked if I would consider taking it down. What is the likelihood that a local sawmill would cut it up into lumber? I would let them take the biggest portions that would make good size lumber. The main trunk is approximately 4 ft diameter and over 20 ft to the first branch. It has three relatively straight and decently long branches that are probably close to 1 ft diameter. The tippy top is at least 50 to 60 ft. I would be willing to trade for pine in lieu of cash.
