Hi Guys
OK, got it, now I have noticed the spot where I am to begin. I signed up & joined as a member with Far Trade Tobacco some time ago when while browsing around, I stumbled on an article complete with technique & photos showing how you could produce great pie tobacco!!.
The article outlined how you soak the leaves of a specific type of tobacco (I like Black Cavendish) , put in a press & press out the water after a certain amount of time.
Anyway, I was never able to find this very interesting article again.
Presently , pipe tobacco in Canada is very is sold in very few stores (Specialty stores) & the selection is poor.
Up until 2 years ago I stayed in Florida during our winter & while there purchased my Captain Black Cavendish from company on line through Pipes & Cigars.
At one time I really enjoyed Captain Black although the flavour seemed less enjoyable as time went by.
So guys, if any of you can put me on to producing my own lovley pie tobacco please lend a hand and help me out. Current price for a pouch of tobacco is $30.00 + 15 %tax & all I can get my hands on is
Colts Signature Blend; too wet & bites you back.
I have spent most of my adult working life in an area about 100 KM west of Toronto. Traffic became relentless. I packed up & now have home on Prince Edward Island: The Maritimes.
We have been pretty safe compared to big city areas thankfully. A lot of you probably have little idea where the Marimes are.
I do love the USA ; Tennessee, Georgia & New Orleans, Key West before a got stupidly expensive. I would live in New Orleans but too late now.
My best regards to anyone who has read my bit of a run on chatter.
P.S help with my tobacco growing & curing ?
