Back in the great US of A. Honey moon was alright, let's just say I really hate thieves. We had half of our money stolen at the airport out of our luggage, the wife got sick and my credit card stopped working. BUT, we are back now, all safe and sound. I was welcomed by my family, my dog and my tobacco patch and quite a few weeds.IMG_1723.JPG

Welcome back Mr. Married Man. The patch is looking really good. Those huge leaves are making me very jealous. A little weeding and you'll be right back in the saddle.

Those suckers grew in 1 week to insanely huge sizes with full primary and secondary leaves. I hate to pluck them

Checked the plants today, all but the Black Mammoth and VA Broadleaf are beginning to flower. I topped which plants I don't want seeds from and bagged the others. The YTB is nearing harvest already believe it or not. The leaves are giving that tell tale color change (dark green to lighter green/yellow). Just got a big ol' rain and it knocked down an izmir and xanti but I stood them back up and I think they'll do fine.

Big rain and lots of clouds will knock a lot of green out of them too. My first day without rain today in over a week. They are already getting greener.

I wondered that originally but all the other plants are green, just the YTB seem to be ripening up. Even after 2 days of sun the plants still are changing color. IMG_1743.JPG IMG_1738.jpg Not really sure what happened with the Xanti....weird/cool.

I also rolled some cigars lastnight, One sucker, VA Brightleaf and MD609.

Haha thanks. Word to the wise, if rolling a cigarillo, having drier than normal filler/binder is wanted. Too moist of leaf when wrapped tends to condense the leaf and draws horribly. I wonder if wrapping it with a small gauge wire in the center might help make a breather.

Been there, done that. The wire does almost no good at all. Keep your filler dryer is Stogies AND my advice. Binder only as damp as lets you roll.

I had that trouble last year too. All the leaf I used was moister then it should of been and I seemed to roll it too tight too. This year i'll let it dry on the table just a little before I roll any or at least for the filler anyway.

YTB is ready to be primed again, the "mother plant" (the one I actually kept the seed pods on) is around 6.5' tall. (insane). Lots of good leaves.

I also went up north this weekend to collect wild herbs. I got 2 pounds of Mullein, about 1/2 pound of wild blueberry leaves and a good bundle of St.Johns Wort.
