Very good article:

Mold is anaerobic process, same as fermentation. Guess then vacuumised fermentation does not help a lot by itself.

But to prevent it, two things are needed : humidity under 70% or temperatures under 50F or above 90F.

That makes a lot of sense with kilning with temperatures around 120F and storaging dry leaves.

Here:

If usable to anyone fresh.

I can't see anaerobic mentioned in the article, I'm afraid - just poor ventilation.

As far as I know, only bacteria can be anaerobes.

Even this isn't accurate, if the sealed container contains oxygen - guess they mean vacuumed airtight

Alcohol fermentation is aerobic, but biogas is anaerobic.

Seems tobacco fermentation (partial composting) is a mix of both.
Very thorough study here: https://bmcmicrobiol.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12866-020-02035-8
The ferment starts aerobically, then as the heat increases and O2 is depleted, the anaerobic bacteria take over. Then when the heaps are rebuilt, it starts over again.
