Mold is anaerobic process, same as fermentation. Guess then vacuumised fermentation does not help a lot by itself.
But to prevent it, two things are needed : humidity under 70% or temperatures under 50F or above 90F.
That makes a lot of sense with kilning with temperatures around 120F and storaging dry leaves.
