Anyone try the new CT. broadleaf binder at WLT? I have had nice luck with the PA. oscuro which worked out nice as wrapper and binder, I am hoping the Ct. broadleaf binder has the same, if not better, level of quality. I love dual purpose tobaccos, you can be very versatile with less.

On a different subject, I am wondering if anyone can tell me whether the Dark Air-Cured in a blend can give, not only strength, but that full bodied, resiny flavor that I use to find in full strength Cubans, and strong cigars like the El Rico Habano, Cuba Aliados (of yesteryear), etc. One forum member stated that if you get a tarry, resiny flavor that it is a sign of not properly fermented tobacco. I don't know if that is true or not, but I like a bit of that in a full bodied cigar (my Dad who is a life time cigar smoker from the ol' Cuban days agrees). If anyone has any suggestions, please advise.

I haven't tried the CT Broadleaf binder, but I'm sure it is going to be nice. If you try it, let us know what you think.

I will definitely be getting some next month, and I will post how I like it, or not. Funny, I was just thinking about why Don hasn't picked up CT broadleaf, and then there it was. He doesn't give any description about taste/aroma, etc., but I don't believe he ever gets anything that is not good. I am a fan of CT and PA broadleaf.

I've been waiting for the Maduro to become available from the DR and it's available...some beatiful stuff too. A full restock of all the missing tobaccos is underway.

Mata Fina and Flojo are getting close too.

A couple leaves of Flojo, with a Chocolate Broadleaf Binder and a San Andrea's Wrapper is already screaming for use in a Churchill :)

The Flojo Viso, has a flavor I've found in higher end cigars like Arturo Fuente.

I agree. The Flojo blends so well. It is a leaf that you can build around in many ways. I don't need more leaf but I might have to grab another pound or five when it comes back in stock.

On a side note I will drop you a line the next time I am in the Valley. I make it out that way to see family every year or two.

Yeah, Pete, that sounds good! We have a pool here just in case you happen to come during the summer heat :)

On the Flojo, it does blend well~! Unfortunately for me, the first time it was in stock, I didn't buy enough! I won't make the same mistake again this year. FTT has really taken off in the last year or so as far as Cigar users, so it might sell 4x as muck as it did the first time, now that people know how special it is.

Also, we should grab as much of the Ct. Broadleaf as we can, as there are no guarantees it will remain in stock long either.

I need to go look into the cooler and take inventory. Maybe I can get "webmost" lucky and find some leaf that just appears.
