I pressed a couple plugs. I weighed out 64g of random leaf from the WLT sampler pack- iow no special mix. It turned out to be enough to press two plugs. Next time I won't weigh out that much. I might keep it at about 32g. I didn't shred prior to pressing. I think I won't be bothering with shredding prior to pressing. Shaving flakes off the plug is sufficient.

What I found interesting regarding the plugs I pressed is that it tastes different depending on how its smoked or rather what type of pipe I smoke it in. If I smoke it in one of my briar pipes, its really smooth and only minimal spiciness. Otoh, if I smoke it in one of my stone pipes, its very spicy. I'm not sure what the difference is. Perhaps, the stone pipe subjects the tobacco to higher heat whilst lighting the tobacco.

Yeah, I learned not to press more than about 50 grams at a time in my noodle press. I pressed a 100 g plug once, and had a hell of a time getting it out.
