I have been trying different recipes recently I wanted to do something not so sticky the apple juice and molasses cooking down to a syrup just made it so sticky if I carried in a bag with me when I took a bite if I was out I would get it all over my hands it would make a mess so I tried one I think I enjoy the flavor

I started out with 6 cups of sugar free sprite
1/2 cup of cinnamon liquor I used fireball
And 1 package of black cherry koolaid

Put it in a big stew pan and heat it up
I added blackstrap molasses and corn syrup just enough to sweeten it

I ordered Some Vuelta Abajo Hab tobacco desteamed and devained it I like mine in bigger strips I like to do enough to last a couple weeks be sure to save the stems

Once the liquid is hot put the tobacco in then then turn the heat down to low cover for about an hour let the liquid really soak in then turn it off and cover and let it set over night in the liquid
Next day strain the liquid out save the liquid
Let the tobacco sit in the strainer till it quits dripping then put in a plastic bag take out all the air you can roll it up let it sit a couple days
Then take it out put it on a tray you can let it air dry or put it in the oven @ 170 turning every 5-8 minutes till it gets to the way you like it
It has very little stickyness tastes great you can try a juice instead of sprite
Now take the stems put them in the juice you have left put it on low let it simmer for 2-3 hours they will get really soft soak up the juice turn off let it set in the juice for 1-2 days then strain them out save the juice for next time
Let them dry out then if you have a tobacco shredder you can run them through it a couple times and you will end up with like a long cut dip style chew and nothing goes to waste
Good luck worked great for me
