We had a little less, but for the last week the weather popped up to nearly 60 and now all that's left are embankments and flooding.

Getting me thinking of seeds earlier than usual!

Those picture make me feel like a very lucky man . Only had a few snow flurries all year . Temperatures yesterday was around 70 and today 38 and windy . It has been a really mild winter here in KY .
Fruit trees are budding out way too early , more than likely we will have a big killing freeze and kill all fruit bearing vines , bushes and trees .

Same experience here. The sap is up in all my fruit trees, so I can't prune them.

The ocean temperatures are out of wack.

The scariest part of that image is the curlicue at the top of the Gulf Stream, heading into the Arctic Ocean.

I pruned my trees already, saps been running early for a few years now.

I tapped a few trees, just enough to give the kids a treat and teach them something fun.

"Normal" is simply an average of data taken in as many years as it has been collected. Extremes are "normal".

The standard deviation of the Atlantic in that area is 1.45 to 1.55 degrees, so this increase in the warm area is at least two standard deviations above normal.

We will argue the validity of climate change until the end of time.

Climate changes, always has and always will.

Does man have an effect? It doesn't really matter.

Should we spend any money trying to change the climate is the issue that everyone is really arguing about. The reason it's such a heated (pun intended) debate is because there is a lot of money to be made or lost depending on who wins the debate. Follow the money if you want to find the real answer.

Pete

I tried to keep it politically neutral.
