Today I got around to finding a nice wrapper leaf to finish this up. Seems like it has a good draw to it too.

After checking the measurements, it is the same size as a Corona Grande, but I highly doubt it will smoke like one, lol

What wonderful information to pass on to my hubby. 2017 (God willing) I will plant some tobacco just for cigar smoking. My husband loves a strong smoke. Any suggestions for a woman trying to please her man with a strong cigar tobacco blend to plant?

Made this little fella a few days ago. Had no glue available so I rubbed a bit of banana on my board with some water. The cigar doesn't taste like banana at all and it sticks very well. Better than the agar agar powder (some sort of gelatine) I normally use.

Only on the inside on the last bit of the wrapper. Made the filler with binder a few days prior to adding the wrapper. Inside is some Besuki, Lombok, Jatim And DFC. Rolled it in newspaper, kept it there for a few days, then applied a wet Besuki wrapper. Normally a roll Besuki puro's but those others are ther to try a couple of things. The Lombok is flue cured, the Jatim sun cured, there's some dark fire cured, and of course the Besuki being dark air cured. Not bad, and the banana does its job!

I had bought some Xanthin Gum since it was highly recommended, but now that I know banana works I'm going to remember that if I need it in a pinch.

I'm once again amazed by the ingenuity and creativity by everyone on FTT. I'd have to say, I never thought of "Banana" as a source of glue. I've heard of people mixing up some flour and water, even tapioca. I even liked the FTT glues that came in the little tubes along with their kits. I guess when someone wants a smoke, there's not going to be much standing in the way....

I'll bet that if you cook down some okra, it would make an excellent glue. Likewise with the sap of a yellow crookneck squash. Gum is gum.

Agreed Bob, gum is gum. Have used several fruits. Another one that is really sticky is something that in English, apparently, is called milk apple

These are double maduro (fermented to the max) Criollo, Corojo, a sliver of San Vicente and PA broadleaf, bound in Mata Fina and Honduran Habano. Criollo 98 wrappers.
