Hopefully I’m posting this in the right section…

I want to give a HUGE shoutout to everyone who makes WLT such a great place! Every experience ordering from Don & the team has always been fantastic and they deserve to know it!

WLT’s individual leaf packaging is the best out there. Not only for storing leaf for later, but also for maintaining the leaf you order. Quality bags over all of their competition. Leaf is top notch! Shipping times extremely fast & cost is very reasonable. The most important part is the people there. They take their time to make sure they take care of their customers & definitely know how to keep them. I just had an order I placed on my Birthday show up! A nice little message on one of the leaf packs. Way to go above and beyond with a simple personalized note not only on the leaf, but on invoices within the box. Keep it up! It’s the little attention to details & personalized approach that they do, that keeps me coming back for more!

TBH I have never bought leaf from anyone else so I can't really do a comparison, but I haven't had any problems with WLT. Packing is good, and very practical. I like their bags. They are great for short term storage of cased wrappers and binders. I like to prep several, and separate the left hand from the right hand halves. You can even use an empty bag as a quickie minimalist rolling mat by duck taping one end to your workbench. I think they ought to offer extra bags for sale. Very useful for small quantities of leaf.

I have been very happy indeed with most of the bakky I have bought from them, and even their "Low Grade Filler" was actually not bad for rolling and smoking, just not very pleasing to the eye, or matched for color, type, etc, of course, as should be expected from their candid product description. I was prepared for all that, but I expected a lot of broken, jumbled, wadded up leaves, and instead found nicely intact leaf of very usable quality. There were even leaves usable as binder and wrapper, nearly enough to roll up the whole batch. I rolled a very cheap batch of stogies out of a 1/4 lb sample and they were not bad smokes. I have gotten some very nice CT wrapper from them, in particular. I was thinking about growing a few stalks of Florida Sumatra, figuring it would be well adapted to the climate here in New Orleans, and I will probably try some Sumatra from WLT first, before committing time and space to another strain that I might or might not like.

I went in with some forum members several years ago and got poly nylon bags like WLT uses. 500 bags so it's hard to justify the expense just for one person. We also got some bigger ones that hold about ten pounds for homegrown leaf.

If I remember correctly, they were the 10x30, and maybe 24x36 for the bigger ones, but measure yours if you go that route. I have an excellent memory for about 15 minutes. Back then, we used to cigar bomb each other and swap seed and tobacco back and forth. Shipping wasn't as ridiculous as it is now. It was fun though and we never knew when we were going to get a surprise gift in the mailbox.

Hmmm... $135 for 500 bags, 10" x 30", that's $0.27/each. Definitely a group purchase. It might be more practical for WLT to sell extras for cost x3, with tobacco orders. By the time you get 10 or 20 guys to all go in on a group buy, and figure the shipping, it would be kind of a headache. If you are ordering a bunch of stuff from WLT it would be no biggie to toss in a few bags for chimp change. They probably buy them by the pallet.

I just put 4 test blend cigars in the mold for a short rest. The Sumatra binder that I used was paper thin. Almost transparent, I had to be very delicate rolling them. Smells delicious! Doing the same blend using Nic binder and Dom Olor binder. I think the Olor is going to be too mild for my liking but we will see.
