Red Snapper. Photo: Dan Bayley

"...the oldest red bass was born during World War I. 'It survived the Great Depression and World War II,' he said. 'It saw the Beatles take over the world, and it was collected in a fisheries survey after Nirvana came and went. It's just incredible for a fish to live on a coral reef for 80 years.'"

Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS) Fish Biologist Dr. Brett Taylor, who led the study, said the midnight snapper beat the previous record holder by two decades.

I suppose it's mounted on a large plaque now.

I have read Bob’s two blending books countless times, and the recipes are incredibly tempting. Unfortunately, WLT does not sell pre-cut loose tobacco shreds. In mainland China, whole tobacco leaves are classified as agricultural products and banned from personal importation — only loose cut tobacco is permitted.

I sincerely hope WLT can offer an additional cutting service, along with a minimum cart order threshold of 100 US dollars. I am willing to pay extra fees for this service.

I am not at WLT. As I understand it, if WLT were to shred tobacco for you, it would significantly alter WLT's tax status and business regulatory requirements. While whole leaf tobacco is an agricultural commodity, shredded tobacco becomes a legally defined tobacco product in the US, and subject to strict tobacco product rules. That would be an unwise move.

The applicable laws in China are likely for agricultural biosecurity. The applicable laws in the US are about categorizing what is subject to sin tax.
