Re: Members seed contributions and list

Randy you might reconsider red Russian, it is susceptible to just about everything and is used in trials where the want a baseline bad specimen.

You mean used for like a guinea pig type strain?

Randy, I've got your CT shade and Comstock Spanish. I also have CT broadleaf if you want to give it a try. PM me your address. My computer is down so I don't have access to my address files. --- John

red russian then, may also be helpful for determining if your area can even support pest:p

but of course pest problems can be quite mitigated if planted in a polyculture rather than a bunch of other baccy, then everything that say baccy is tastey has itself a little buffet of baccy to enjoy:)

I haven't had any problems with Red Russian except for some sun scald. I have grown it the last 2 years. It's a funky looking plant. Dark green leaves, large deep red flowers, only grows 3 feet tall. I dunno if I would call it more of a tobacco or an ornamental.

So Randy....how many acres are you planting next year? You're getting quite a collection of seeds by now.
