Seed Trade-swap

Hi folks

I don’t seem to be able to find an area just about Tobacco seed strains perhaps its just me and im not looking hard enough anyway I was wondering if any one would like to trade pure seed strains that I do not already own just to let you in on the act me and a few close friends run a seed bank in the UK collecting pure/ stable Tobacco strains from around the world there are a few strains at this point and we are collecting more all the time which is great, so if you fell you would like to trade/ swap some seed I do not already have that would be great ( can I just say please only offer pure strains that have been pollinated on there own or blossom bagged as I need to keep strains pure ) many thanks for your time its great to be here and happy growing I have put the seeds I can trade below.

Your seed list mentions "Havana " and "Turkish". Do you have specific varieties of these or are the names generic? I have some 2012 CT shade collected from commercial field I would be glad to contribute.

Sorry I sould have been more specific they are Havana 142 and Turkish Sherazi also just an after thought I will put a recommendation after the strains I thinks have performed to a very high standard.

Welcome to the forum, Don this website owner runs a seedbank http://fairtradetobacco.com/showthread.php?1781-2013-Tobacco-seed-list with a huge list, im not sure if its still open for the season or not.

Im sure your get plenty of offers for the guys and gals on here if it is shut, they're a generous bunch.

theres a lot of growers on the other side of the pond,

perhaps don's '' oversupply'' of a certain strain can be shared with you,

Just looking through my little collection and ive got some adonis seeds from last years crop, they were fully bagged and tagged. Adonis is a cross between 2 havana varietys and used for cigars id say more as a binder than a filler or wrapper, its got a leathery taste when smoked. You can have a little bag of a few thousand if you want them.

great info Knucklehead i will have a good look at this one thanks hopefully if people around the world use great forums like this we can build up a really good stock between us, i have a good friend in Russia now he has a huge seed bank its just getting him to part with them lol.

I think the main requirement is that the flower heads were bagged to prevent cross-pollination. The only other thing is to send it to the right person.

Hi Don thanks for the reply the purity of the seed is no problem as i bag all plants i think there are some folks on here that can vouch for that (SKY) and others i would love to be able to send some seed and possibly help if i can perhaps you could tell me who to send too and what they need some seed i would maybe have too send at the end of the year if they want large amounts as stocks are getting low on some but i would love to help.
