Hi
My first post
I just ordered a starter kit from WLT and have some questions.

I understand that I might need to moisten some of the leaves before rolling. If I kept them all at 70%, would I need to moisten them? With the exception of the wrapper, which does need to be much wetter, right?

It's 1lb of leaves and says it will make around 20 cigars. Is this a realistic expectation?
An experienced roller could make 20 from 1lb? But I should expect some losses?
I have a lot of experience rolling other things, but not cigars. I'm also making a Lieberman style machine (more so for the fun of constructing it).

Should I basically use 1/20 of each type of leaf?

All scraps can be used, as long as I have wrapper left to roll it?

If I end up moistening the leaves, after rolling, should I rest the cigars on the shelf to dry a bit (I live in a fairly humid country) or put them at 70% in the humidor?

Thanks in advance for any help

If you keep them at 70% for too long, you might get mold, but they should be fine for now. It depends on the thickness /strength of the wrapper, but generally, yes.

454g of leaf will be about 20 robustos if you remove the ribs, more if you don't. https://www.cubancigarwebsite.com/cigar/factorynames

Should is a strong word. Roll whatever size feels right for you. Also, start by rolling one and smoking one in order to build muscle memory for how much pressure to apply when you roll them.

People have different ways of doing this. I live in a dry place. I put them in an unhumidified humidor, letting the excess moisture provide the necessary humidity until it finally starts to drop. At that point I will start to humidify the humidor. For you, yes, you may want to leave them out. You're going to have to figure that out on your own.
