For $300, it would have to sucker, top and prime my tobacco. The paradox is that you have to keep your garden totally weed-free (by hand), until your "plants" are tall enough and sturdy enough to trigger the avoidance bumper of the robot, since the robot doesn't do big weeds.

If you can spring for a $300 conversation piece, I think it would be wonderful for a conversation starter. If you are lonely, just don't pet it, or it will turn away.

Haha, yeah. They do supply wire barriers for young plants, and by supply I'm sure they mean sell.

I have a grandmother who loves to garden but has suffered from vertigo these past few of years. I'm sure, if effective, it might be worth it to someone in her situation.

I saw this and thought, this would be a hit for a minute if you could get it to follow the dog around the yard and pick up the crap.

I'm sure your grandmother doesn't love to garden because of its produce, but because of the journey of accomplishing it, and the opportunity (indeed, demand) to be outside. Spend the money on a really thick, soft and cushy kneeling pad and some high quality hand tools. Old people (like myself) don't need another reason to sit.

Sold!

Wise words. Besides, the first time they had a disagreement, I'm sure this little robot would find its way to the wrong end of her .22 rifle.
