The return of the dreaded hornworm

here in florida, my crop is thriving,,,, i still got a bunch of baccy growing,,,,

allthough yesterday i noticed my old friend was back, HORNWORMS....

i sprayed them with thuricide {b.t.} last night,, and here recentlly, i only seen 2 live ones,,,,, so im gonna be spraying here soon,,,, in the dark with my headlamp on,

last night i sprayed the hell out of a hornworm moth,,,,

my question is,,> after the liquid dries on the leaves,,,, is the leaf now poisionous to the worms,,, or do i need to continue spraying,?

The Bt that is sprayed on the leaves will still be active for several days. Any worm that munches on that leaf will die. After 3 or 5 days it has degraded. There are Bt products on the market ( I think from Gardens Alive) that will last for at least a week.

thanks for the reply,,,, i gave them a good spraying twice,,,

and looked today and seen no worms,,,,

i cut all the seed heads gone, any pods/ flowers that may attract a horn-worm moth<--------

i emptied the kiln to do some fine detail work on it,,,,

sealing up l;ittle cracks.. and done got silicon all in my beard,,,, <>> dont ask me how it got there,?????

i may take a picture of all. my baccy as of right now, because i got it all hanging, right now,"" the kiln is empty and down for repairs<------

get some lady bugs. they feed on hornworm eggs and larvae, dipel or thuricide will kill the large ones and not harm the plants, and I've heard something about spraying the plant with water with a few drops of liquid dish soap in it as well. I use the lady bugs and hand pick them off my tomatoes. then I burn their bodies as an example to their friends.....
