Within 200 yrds is like hide an seek on my property.
Overgrown, Christmas tree farm at one time.

I screwed this shot up also. Jitter from last shot. I aimed high.
Dang liver and deflects into a spine shot, high but she dropped right there.
No fun not tracking.

Regarding this picture ...I have to ask you . Why do you hang the deer from its head?
I used to deer hunt before I got into motorcycling. I also lost my property that I hunted on. nice little postage stamp of a private area .
I always hung my deer feet up . To drain the hams of blood ,the cavity acted as a natural funnel and the windpipe was a natural "hose" which to direct the blood into a bucket. It was always easier for me to skin the deer hung feet up as well. Not knocking your method , just curious.

I hang them either way. Doesn't seem to matter much but gutting hanging by the neck everything falls into garbage bag and is easier to cut the Esophagus and attaching tissue.
