Ha ha ha! That's about right Bob. There are tons of varieties out there that commercial growers won't touch, because it won't grow the magic mammoth pumpkin color!

And keep in mind, I think it was Canada, is now taxing whole leaf? What if you can't buy it anymore? As growers we're working the bugs in our personal situations out now while we can still easily purchase excellent leaf to offset our failures.

The economics is simple. I control my own seed supply and my ability to supply all my other needs is totally dependent on me.

I don't pay much to grow. This year was an exception as I bought a bunch of starts, but then again I've never had tobacco grow as good as these did either so it worked out well.

You don't need the expensive items. For everything that is expensive I can tell you a free substitute.

I grow for a lot of the reasons pointed out above, but also because it exercises one of the few remaining freedoms my benevolent government has allowed me. Use it or lose it.
