Tennessee fire cured, Latakia, stacked basma, some katerini, (this one definitely has the standard Turkish taste. Started rolling it in the menthol tubes they sell over at the FTT store and made a good blend for making cigarettes too.

You need some flue cured va. With what you got, what you like so far, and where you're at right now: try 40% air dried, 40% katerini, 20 % latakia. Leave the basma and fire cured be until you get some va. Be sure you're close to the ground.

Point of interest, they actually call it luletasi in Turkey.

From the mines of Eskisehir which is the ancient Greek city called Dorylaion ( in latin is Dorylaeum) build by an ancient Greek tribe called ''Phrygians'' which immigrated from the city of Arcadia of Peloponνisos (in english is Peloponnese Region) but after many years became ''locals'' and fought against their old-time neighbours the Achaians in the civil war of Troy.

this is a sample of their language which a Greek still at 2019 can read it.

Counterfeit Cob

In these days of deep fakes, it's sometimes hard to tell the real thing from a pretender. Given the high cost of real corn cobs, this handy meerschaum makes a presentable stand-in. Maybe nobody will notice that Bob is not smoking the real thing on Christmas Day.

I carved this a few decades ago--modeled after a "smokable second". The shank eventually broke off. This past weekend, I finally repaired it. The bowl is packed with
