Which strain for wrapper?

I think your results growing CT Shade in the different sun / shade options will reflect this years results, I'm hoping anything that gets too much sun will be able to be blended as filler

I have been interested in Silver River since first reading about it - it will be one that I would like to plant in 2013

Black Mammoth is a variety I have not tried, my seed options were limited at the start of this year so 2013 is looking exciting - the oppotunity to try unique new varietys.

I have been reading istanbulins post on Criollo 98 and Corojo 99 grown under shade, has anyone had some experience in growing these?

In my experience, so far, the CT shade is a very mild filler. Note: At the time I was not separating by stalk position. This year I am..

It amazes me how much more effort (it seems) goes into cigar tobacco classification compared to pipe/cigarette and the (almost minimum) that goes into chewing tobacco.

I guess next year will need to be a trial year for a few different cigar tobaccos.

I have found terrific fillers IMO. Havana 142 with silk leaf tastes amazing to me, it reminds me of something that would complement a good cup of coffee. I just need to find a good thin-skinned wrapper that is creamy tasting.

I'll try the CT (I'll build a shade apparatus or position it in a more shaded are of the yard)
