I stopped thinning to one per cell really quick, going with competition and then thin out at transplant. There was a loss of about 6-8 small cells to damp off, I sprayed everything then with myclobutanil and am pleased to report it worked to perfection as there is no further loss and the plants' growth is back to robust. (The myclobutanil is 1+gram to gallon of the Rally 40 powder, this is what I use in my vineyard to battle powdery mildew.)

note for next year: sow seed March 15, use 2.5" cells and/or learn how to do the floating tray.
