Just received a couple of new leaves, of which I'll write a review. Went to open up our mail box, and was immediately hit with a wonderful smell~! As soon as I got the package inside, I opened up the fire cured wrapper, gently pulled out a leaf to feel the texture.

The aroma is fantastic! I was expecting much less, so this alone blew me away! Then I started stretching out the leaf, and was again blown away by the size! At least 30" long, very very elastic, which is excellent for wrapper! It would not surprise me if one could get 15+ cigars out of one leaf alone! I'm thoroughly impressed! There was only 1 tiny hole next to the stem, which will easily trim away when the stem is stripped.
So dark and shiny!!!
Can't believe I'm in love with a wrapper! Now, how do I explain this to my wife? LOL

It is also slightly leathery, not easily ripped. I'll report on other qualities as I have time to experiment with this leaf with others I have in stock!

Also opened up the Dark Air, with hopes of it being a cigar filler, or even chew. The first thing I did was to combine a tip of this with a piece of fired cured to get a taste. This combo is 100X better than any store bought snuff!!! I'm going to have some experimenting to do!!!

A home run in my book!!!

It's not just smoked green leaf. The minimum temperature in the barns is 130° and up to 200°. The barns are fire for not less than 4 weeks. This method of curing is like putting the leaf in a kiln or a Flue Cure barn. The leaf, in effect, is cooked.

The aroma of WLT's leaf is amazing! It smells better than a hickory or mesquite fired steak. I'm almost afraid to ask what exotic woods are used, but I'm pretty sure I smell maple in there too! It was a bit too strong for my wife. To appease her, I've double bagged it, and put it into a 5 gallon glass jar.
So, next time I roll some, it will be outside. Ever since she had our daughter many years ago, her sense of smell is incredible! I used to tease her saying she could smell a flea fart over a mile away :)
