I went to my fishmonger to take boxes with fish in polystyrene to make my sowing.

They are all of different depths, what is the thickness minimum of compost before the transplanting in 6 thumbs(inches) in full earth(ground)?
I would not want to re-fall twice..

Je suis allé chez mon poissonnier prendre des caisses à poisson en polystyrène pour faire mes semis.

Elles sont toutes de profondeurs différentes, quelle est l’épaisseur minimum de terreau avant le repiquage à 6 pouces en pleine terre ?
Je ne voudrais pas repiquer deux fois...

No, it's just the time difference between France and the U.S., most are sleeping right now. Yes, your boxes have enough room to sow many seeds. 10 to 15 cm should be fine.

I planted these last year in 10 to 15 cm dirt, in cups, just to give you an idea. (4 to 6 inches) 10 to 15 is enough to get them going for sure, and I think your boxes will do just fine.

My trees are any big and old the real problem it is that they are east of the arable land thus little sun in the morning and it is the one who(which) is the most important in my humble opinion...

If I cut, I have a chain saw, it is necessary to cut it a lot and the law here obliges me to keep(guard) my forest...


Mes arbres sont tous grands et vieux... le vrai problème c'est qu'ils sont à l'est de la terre cultivable... donc peu de soleil le matin et c'est celui qui est le plus important à mon humble avis...

Si je coupe, j'ai une tronçonneuse, il faut en couper beaucoup et la loi ici m'oblige à garder ma forêt...
