Aleman puro

I get more binder/wrapper from the Aleman Seco and the Aleman wrapper Don lists are mostly of a filler grade. It may be just the batch I got. Anyway, this is a great smoke. I am loving the cedar-incense-like flavour and aroma.
Thanks Don for find these leaves!

I believe it was Knucklehead who said he thought the Aleman was better than advertised. Either way, that's a good look'n stick!!

I had a batch of Ecuadorean shade wrapper that presented that ammonia release when I was bringing to case, I put it back into my kiln for a week and it was great, actually looked better too but the taste was greatly improved

Rolled some more.
I am really liking the dark fired kentucky in my cigar blend. It really adds an extra flavour and texture. I dont thinl the room note is all that great though..

Smoking one right away after drying it for an hour.

Just a couple 11% beers in my system and some raspberry beer :). I decided to do it by hand instead if a mold this time so it was somewhat accidental

Love to look at other peoples cigars. Makes me think my not so perfect smokers are good too and my a noy so perfect rolling skills can improve to stuff like in this thread. Some of these I would buy just on looks alone...

Looking great! How does it smoke?

still letting it dry a bit, I had the leaves in pretty high case considering how dry the air is here. I'll report back!

I am by no means a pro, I just have experience. It's what makes perfect or nearly perfect. Having a good product to work with doesn't hurt either!

Was smoking this one after work today and I noticed it burning funny. It was rolled straight but burned sided.
Has anyone had this happened to your diy cigar?

Nice dark looking leaf there m.b ..I've made me a few from cigarette types of leaf before and they turn out okay..just maybe a bit mild...I roll them all the time cigarette size when I run out of rolling papers. Lol
