Burley[edit]
Main article: Burley (tobacco)
The origin of White Burley tobacco was credited to a Mr. Webb in 1864, who grew it near Higginsport, Ohio, from seed from Bracken County, Kentucky. He noticed it yielded a different type of light leaf shaded from white to yellow, and cured differently. By 1866, he harvested 20,000 pounds of Burley tobacco and sold it in 1867 at the St. Louis Fair for $58 per hundred pounds. By 1883, the principal market for this tobacco was Cincinnati, but it was grown throughout central Kentucky and Middle Tennessee. In 1880 Kentucky produced 36 percent of the total national tobacco production, and was first in the country, with nearly twice as much tobacco produced as by Virginia, then the second-place state.[3]

Burley tobacco is a light air-cured tobacco used primarily for cigarette production. In the United States, it is produced in an eight-state belt with approximately 70 percent produced in Kentucky. Tennessee produces approximately 20 percent, with smaller amounts produced in Indiana, North Carolina, Missouri, Ohio, Virginia and West Virginia. Burley tobacco is produced in many other countries, with major production in Brazil, Malawi and Argentina. In the U.S., burley tobacco plants are started from pelletized seeds placed in polystyrene trays floated on a bed of fertilized water in March or April.

Saturday: First real snowfall
Cooler air pulls down over the country. The season's first real snowfall passes over northern Norrland on Saturday and is quite abundant. The inland county of Norrbotten can receive just over 1 dm of fresh snow during the day. Also some snow villages in the Jämtland mountains. Over Svealand some clouds during the day and in the far south a mostly clear and sunny autumn day.
Saturday evening: Difficult in the north with snow and wind
During the evening increased cloudiness in the southern half of the country. The snow area in the north is moving slowly to the southeast and is still occasionally intense. For the central parts of the country, a clear evening awaits and during the night there may be frost in several places in Svealand but also locally in inner Götaland.
Sunday: Snow and wind
It can be a difficult day of weather in mainly Norrbotten and Västerbotten during Sunday, when snow and wind can make up for it. It is not impossible that there can be over 20 cm of snow somewhere during the day. It also blows up with healthy to strong wind gusts on the Norrland coast. Clarification in the western and southern parts of Norrland, but also in the south mostly sunny.
Monday – Tuesday – Wednesday: Warmer from the southwest The
weekend's snowing subsides, but partly remains on the Norrland coast even during Monday. In the southwest, milder air is approaching, and it is preceded by snowfall that works its way up over the country during Tuesday – Wednesday. Gradually, the snow turns more and more into rain further north in the country when the mild air takes over.

Perique tobacco was first created in Louisiana in the early part of the 19th century by farmer Pierre Chenet, whose pressure-fermentation process is credited with imbuing the leaves with a uniquely strong tobacco. Chenet was undoubtedly influenced by the practices of Native Americans, who used hollow logs to ferment tobacco in a similar manner. Perique varieties are commonly grown for pipe smoking, and often mixed with milder varieties to create a flavorful yet distinct blend.

Today my 5 Ibs of Dark Air Cured tobacco arrived , it took 10-14 days to get here , everything seemed to go very well but suddenly the mail I got before changed.
It said that customs had got their hands on , I got called up by a custom cowworker who said that I have to pay 700 $ for importfee , tax and VAT.
I got the shipment delevered today and it seemed like customs did not care about it any more , the guy called me later on and we settled on 523 $ in fees.
It is the same price like General snus , I got the tobacco tucked in behind my radiator to make it dry.
All in all I payed 711 $ for 5 Ibs of tobacco , I did this purchase to get away from the General snus and the snuskits which is just a load of crap.
I will buy this tobacco until I hopefully can find a place where I can grow my own tobacco , I got loads and loads of seeds.
I got a few places where I can grow , the only thing is that I am scared to get caught.
Without customs the fee would be 195 $.

The US government sues Google
PUBLISHED TODAY 16:56
The US Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit against Google for violating competition rules, US media reports.
The Ministry of Justice considers that Google has acted as a disincentive to competition in order to maintain its monopoly on the search engine market.
Eleven Republican state justice ministers support the government in the lawsuit, CNBC reports.
It was over a year ago that the US Department of Justice launched competition investigations into four major technology companies: Amazon, Apple, Facebook and Google.
