Root beer extract for casing

I see a lot of people suggesting vanilla extract to spray on tobacco but has anyone ever tried root beer extract? I bought some today at a Amish market and thought of adding it to a recipe

When I experiment with new ingredients I will simply pour a dram into a cup and stir in a bowls worth of tobacco then let it dry out for testing. This does result in excessive amounts of the material tested so that the effects, good and bad are upfront to notice.
I think root beer would work well as an ingredient. Be sure to let us know!
