Smoked a gurkha ghost angel today. Haven't smoked this for around 3 years. Slap bang medium on the strength scale. I love the brazillian arapiraca wrapper. Was nice to change up from the usual nicaraguan smokes. I feel like it resets/rests the pallete.
The last time i bought a few of these was around 2023 and i had a bad batch. I remember clearly i had bought 10 of these and 10 arturo fuente magnum rosada 58. The fuentes were brilliantly on point, these gurkhas however, 8 of these wouldn't smoke. At first i thought it was a humidity issue but after resting them at between 67-70% RH for 2 months i tried again but still wouldn't smoke. Most of them were plugged/wrapped way too tight! After reading up about them i noticed that the reviews all said the quality of construction of gurkhas were the same as cubans. 17-18 out of a box were unsmokable/trash. That put me off gurkhas for a while until i saw these at my local cigar shop today and thought i'd give them another try. I'm glad i did As this one was on point!
