Man that plot is beautifull !!!!! I'd like to have a couple of loads of that dirt too !!
Thanks workhorse, but I need all that loamy soil. It changes every 20 yds. around here. Watch this garden and the high spots are the most loamy and hold water better. I t sucks trying to figure which varietys get the best spots.[/QUOTE]
so true, i made a mistake in placing my varities,,, i put a smaller growing strain behind a taller strain,, knowing what i was doing, but looking at it now, i scratch my head, at why i did that,??? im gonna blame it on beer<

This was one of the first of my seedlings in the ground.The plants in the field did better than the last 50 plants I had on a table partialy under a tree. I had to trim all the shredded leaves from the wind before I set out this morning. I figured if they survived the storm they'll likely make it in the field The plants that were first in the ground are starting to show some fairly good signs of growth. Alot were chewed up by insects but are getting established for the most part. I replaced atbout 25 or so, so far and have another dozen in reserve. I left one corner vacant because The soil in that corner is more like silty sand and doesn't hold water as well.Looks like you made out well. Did you get much wind?
they look fantastic,
nice colour to the soil also,,,,{odd}
BarG,
