Well I had two mishaps in my tent style greenhouse that I will share as a learning expendable that cost me 50% of my plants firs we had a very windy day witch knocked all my plants off the shelves after recouping what I could I water them and place them on the top shelf of the greenhouse the next two days were crazy busy with family issues and forgot to open the door on the green house and of course it happened to be some of the warmest days of the year needless to say when I did finally open the door the wall of heat and humidity hit me and I knew it wasn't going to be good this is the result after a week of ting to nurse them back to health lost over half thank good the remainder can go to to the garden in the next couple days. Next year that are staying under the Florescent until a week before planting where they will be hardened off.lesson learned :(

I feel for you. That's a distaster. DGBAMA recently posted that he has some left over seedlings he would give away for cost of postage. They're ready to go in the ground. If his are gone, send a PM to BigBonner to see if he has seedlings for sale this year. I bought some from him two seasons ago and they were some really nice hardy seedlings.

Ouch.

That said, lights do not do justice compared to the natural light of the greenhouse. It is however a must to open the vents on sunny days to not cook them.

it happens... Hope you have good luck on a recovery. I've been surprised at the amount of abuse they can actually take!

So true. I learned the hard way last year. As long as there is color in the growth bud, they can recover.

All of the little round seed leaves (the very bottom ones that open the seed pod) can be snipped off from the bottom of the seedlings. Just use your best judgement on the others. If they are bottom leaves, you can clip them off and bury the plant a little deeper. The rest can be removed as they die.
