Done , will eventually be used next yearThe green organic matter will need N to decompose and that will take a few months, so when those nutrients finally become available it will be winter, and your plants will no longer be there, don't get me wrong I understand what your are doing, and I agree, that's the way to go, but its a question of timing.
you would be better building a compost box.
