Off to a good start.

The center of the shade patch is going to get hard to maintain in a hurry. Consider moving the center plants to what is now your walkway by the fence, leaving your path in the middle for better access.

Yeah I was thinking something like that..I'll have to pay my girl in lollies to get in there and harvest for me. .hahaha..I'm habit restricted for space..but I might still pull out every second one in between..I'll see how it goes..personally I think I can get away with closer spacing than advised. .last year I grew some real close (less than1 ft)&they still grew ok with minimal leaf damage. .they seem to just work around each other. ..I just had to take more care when harvesting..to pick leaf then carefully pull them out in between.

Last year I didn't grow enough cigarette types. .im not gonna make that mistake again. .i didnt have enough oriental..same with Burley. .I ended up mixing some havana with my v.g to give it some kick instead of Burley cause it was so mild.
This year I've got about 12 cigar types and 11 cigarette types..also im gonna be growing all my orientals and fillers about 20 cm apart..due to lack of space. .also though cause last year they seemed to grow pretty well close to each other..they just work around each other..im not worried about leaf damage on the filler..and cigarette types..well the cigarette types anyway cause they'll all be mulled up in the end..
My list so far is ...cigar types..magnolia. ct49.ct broad.ct shade.havana 211.mass ck-1.p.a broad.dutch ohio.little dutch.r.s.e.fl sumatra.p.a red......and cigarette varieties. ..cherry red401.Oxford940.Oronico.shirey dark.ky 908 Burley. Golden Burley. Tn90.kelly Burley. +a unknown Burley. Maryland 41.maryland 609.bafra.a unknown oriental.nb11?.&aztec rustica..hopefully get some y.t.b & v.b.l black mammoth. &xhanti yaka for next years grow..it's getting a bit late to start more now..not that I have anywhere else to put them. .

Ground looks pretty wet in the last pic. The yellow could be too much water. Too much shade from the wall or deficiency may be possibilities.

Could be water or the cooler temps that will sometimes slow a plants usage of nutrients. Could also be some ph from mortar in brickwork?
If your temps are getting warmer then the nutrient takeup will get better.
Nice looking grow :)
I got loads of seeds that i did not bag but labeled after the host plant. Xanthia which I outa have my ass kicked for not getting bagged but they had smaller seedheads than i was used to and I cut the first waiting for a larger one :(
Loads of bright-leaf both pure and crossed with no telling waht too. U need some lemme know.

PH is ok at 6-7 and Im not sure if is big deal if in the ground as compared to container growing which PH plays a larger part due to having to add nutrients to your mix. Growing in the ground I am sure lets the micronutrients be available to plant more readily and then ph would have less impact.

Yup, tobacco will do well anywhere in that range. I believe 6.3 - 6.5 is considered perfect for it.

I've seen the same thing with some of the white stemmed Burleys. The seedlings can look like they are being drown or starved for nitrogen, and will lag behind other varieties during their first weeks. And their growth spurt will occur later. But when they take off, they quickly catch up in size and often surpass the other varieties.

Your other plants look really good to me. Nice healthy vigorous looking plants. But.... they are planted way to close together. Ohio Dutch gets fair sized. And Penn Red is a very large plant. You will get much bigger and better leaf and a better overall yield if you thin them out to 2' spacing in each direction.
