The leaves are huge. I'm jealous of how bug free they look. No holes. You'll get a lot more wrapper grade leaf than we do.
You don't have to remind us Knucks;)That is some awesome looking leaf. You don't half to tell me about them helpers. I hope she did not want 5 bucks for helping you for the pics.Mine would.

she allready asks me for $ three times a day. .she wants a weeky income! !
Yeah it is pretty good here as far as critters. Besides slug ,snails, aphids & the odd little green catap...but the snail's & slugs are pretty easy to get rid of. .then its just the couple of catap...&aphids. .but I've never had aphids bad enough to effect the plants..only seen one or two this season..& no green catapilla's .......touch wood

So you are priming your wrappers once a bit yellow. It's my first year as you know with cigar strains. A lot of what I pick is just under ripe as I mostly smoke cigs and like a milder ***. Cigars on the other hand I look for taste same as the pipe. I find it hard to get a good all round mix. Cavendish seems to be my saviour, I can pipe as wells as *** it. I'm dying to roll a few cigars, I have been practicing cigatellos with what I have available, most look something like a bedi, they smoke ok. I have even tried lugs as a paper, works ok but way too much time taken to give my 30 a day habit a reasonable chance at working.

i just want to roll a reasonable cigar and by the looks of my seedlings you have enabled that, thankyou...

Oops it turns out I can't use a certain set of letters to describe my smokes f a g s is not allowed. Maybe theologically correct blokes out there will appreciate it is a collection of sticks, twigs or leaves.... A cigar maybe, leaves pulled together....

tjere is is not another reference till later but I reckon the first name for a cigg would be held under that name... I was not trying to be politically incorrect.

cheers

Sorry for the delayed answer Dean. .these leaves are penn red so its traditionally a filler type..usually with wrapper types you want to harvest earlier before they crinkle up too much. .but I was told to harvest filler just as they show signs of ripening. .most of these ones were hidden right under the jungle of baccy hedge..hence them being so yellow. .

I also pulled some more leaf off today magnolia (real fragile)..a bunch of ct49 (fine wrapper)..and a heap of big ct shade...most of the leaves are around 670mm long and 300mm wide ..pretty happy with the outcome from the restricted space

Good job Todd. I see a lot of good tobacco real estate going to waste under all that grass. Plant Baccy save lawnmower fuel.

I'm with ya on that one knucks as ya well know. Except this year i'm using even the veggie space for baccy.

Hahaa..the mrs was lucky to get a couple of tomato plants..and some pumpkins that are going wild over the lawn..but that's about it. .I would dig up more lawn but we rent and I'm not too sure if the landlord would be very happy. .I may have to strategically place some flowers around so it looks aesthetically pleasing. Lol

Hey Seanz good to see you!

Todd, those look great. They did a lot better than I thought they would with that close spacing. They look like cane growing there. I hope you make some good seed.

You string Your baccy the same way I do on My small types on stainless wire. Some times I will use a 2x4 and pin it like a tree. The larger, I tie in hands. That is nice baccy. Sorry to here about Seanz grow
